The Downtown gets a beating sometimes for not having the club scene it used to. Venues that have closed in recent years like Sully’s and Richards have stayed dark but I’m here to tell you that there’s still life in the old girl.
We dropped by Ulrich’s Rebellion Room, 631 Main St., on Monday evening and the place was packed. That’s the night that all burger dishes are $3 off. The crowd should be no surprise considering when there’s a discussion of the best burger places in the area, “Ulrich’s is always in the conversation,” said my dining companion, Brad Erickson, former Journal Star night editor.
